Open Day on Imaging Monitoring of Regeneration Models – The VIVOIMAG project

An open day was held at the Demokritos Research Centre in Athens on May 15th, 2019, presenting new technologies and procedures on Imaging Monitoring of Regeneration Models and the concept idea behind the VivoImag project. A hands-on session was also performed, giving the opportunity to participants to see bone and soft tissue analogue phantoms and how these are imaged on CT.
Satellite Session at the 18MM of the nTrack H2020 Project

A satellite session was held during the 18th month meeting of the nTrack H2020 European funded project. The common grounds of tissue regeneration gave the opportunity of fruitful discussions on the available methods and prospects of the methods established.
Workshop on Bone Regeneration – The VIVOIMAG project

A workshop was held at the West Attica University of Athens on April 12th, 2019, presenting new technologies and procedures on Bone Regeneration and the concept an idea behind the VivoImag project. More than 20 students from the University attended the workshop and participated in interesting discussions on the topic.
13th European Molecular Imaging Meeting
San Sebastián

The VIVOIMAG project along with the most recent results was presented at the 13th European Molecular Imaging Meeting at San Sebastián. The conference attracted more than 700 participants from 31 countries and included 290 talks and 265 poster presentations.
49th Conference of the Society of Nuclear Medicine India

VIVOIMAG was presented by Prof. Loudos through an invited talk at the 49th Conference of the Society of Nuclear Medicine India (#SNMICON) on the 16th December 2017. The Conference attracted more than 300 participants from all over the world and attendees showed a great interest on nanoparticle preclinical applications and the project itself.
European Researcher’s Night 2017

VIVOIMAG was presented and discussed during the Researcher’s Night in Greece. The Researcher’s Night is a European science festival attracting over 1.500.000 visitors in 300 European cities! The event took place in Athens on the 29th of September and attracted thousands of visitors of all ages!

The VIVOIMAG project along with all the latest results will be presented at the 30th Annual Congress of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM 2017), in Vienna at 21-25 October.
3rd NANO-GR Workshop

VIVOIMAG will be presented and discussed during the 3rd NANO-GR Workshop in Thessaloniki, Greece. The workshop will take place in conjunction with the 14th international conference on Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology (NN17) and will include presentations from GSRT Project Officers and Greek Ministry’s consultants, Funded Projects on National calls NSRF and RIS3, EU FP7, H2020, Interreg etc. as well as other projects funded from various national, EU and international authorities.

The VIVOIMAG concept together with the latest results was presented through an invited talk by Prof. George Loudos at the 27th Interdisciplinary Research Conference on Injectable Osteoarticular Biomaterials and Bone Augmentation Procedures in Athens, Greece. A special focus on nanoparticle applications, such as the VIVOIMAG project, was given since the meeting was held in partnership with the “Hellenic Society of Nanotechnology in Health Sciences.
12th European Molecular Imaging Meeting

An updated poster with the latest scientific results of VIVOIMAG was presented and results were discussed at the 12th European Molecular Imaging Meeting in Cologne, a scientific event with more than 600 participants and 250 posters presented.
4th Athens Science Festival

The BET team was present at the 4th Athens Science Festival in Athens with a booth, one of the largest outreach events, which target general public. Brochures presenting the VIVOIMAG concept and results achieved so far were handed out to both students and adults. The project was discussed with many participants who showed a strong interest in its concept and results.
DYO FORUM

VIVOIMAG was presented during DYO Forum, a 2-day scientific event with more than 7000 visitors, concerning health, beauty and nutrition. A talk on the revolutionary applications of nanoparticles to assess health issues and focused on the VIVOIMAG concept was presented by Prof. George Loudos at Zappeion, in the National Gardens of Athens. Brochures were distributed and the project was discussed with the event participants.
Researchers’ Night

VIVOIMAG was presented at the Researchers’ Night 2016, a well -established scientific event, targeting general public, which takes place every year on the last Friday of September. The VIVOIMAG participants presented and discussed the first results of VIVOIMAG, both with adults and students.

A poster was presented and the idea and first results of VIVOIMAG were discussed with the participants of the 5th Balkan Congress & the 13th National Congress of Nuclear Medicine in Thessaloniki, Greece. The DEMO team provided info on project objectives and their role in the project.
